MAJESTIC was formed by Richard Andersson (key) and Peter Esrinoza (git) in 1997 under the name of Lab Rat. They started writing songs together with focus on strong melodies and havy guitar riffs with turbo-charged solo parts. They started to look for members and the line-up was completed with Joel Linder (drums), Martin Wezowski (bass) and Jonas Blum (vocals). The debut album “Abstract Symphony” was recorded with producer Anders Theander and was released worldwide by Massacre Records (Euope), Toshiba/EMI (Japan) and NEMS (South America, Mexico). This neo-classical metal album received tremendous press Europewide and acchieved excellent reviews (Aardshock, Force, Powerplay, Metallian, Spin City and many others). Afterwards MAJESTIC joined Pretty Maids on their European tour in 1999. During the summer of 1999 discussions about the future material lead to a split of the memebers ans Richard and bassist Martin started to look for new members. After a month the line-up was set with Margnus Nord (git), Peter Vildoer (drums) and ex-Faith Taboo singer Apollo. If you listen to the new album you can just congratulate Richard to his decisions. In autumn 1999 the recordings to “Trinity Overture” started and were finished in January. This second album is just gnius. Melodies like Rainbow at their best, high-speed soli that would honour every Yngwie Malmsteen-album and a sound that kicks ass! At Massacre Records the first listens led to sheer surprise and enthusiasm. Ten neo-classical metal highlights by a band, that will surely make it to the top. The album will also be released as a limited digipak-edition with a bonus MAJESTIC-screensaver. An european tour for fall is in preparation alyready. MAJESTIC are the forerunners of the New wave of Swedish heavy metal (Hammerfall, Blacksmith, Narnia, Lions Share to name a few) which will find back the way to success of the Eighties Swedish heroes like Europe or Yngwie Malmsteen.
