Kula Shaker are an English multi-platinum selling psychedelic rock band who came to prominence during the Britpop era. They split in September 1999 but officially reformed in 2004 for sessions which led to plans for a full live and album-release comeback. Their reformation was not widely publicised until the beginning of 2006. Their third album 'Strangefolk' was released in 2007.

Eight years after its previous studio album, the Britpop act Kula Shaker returned with 2007's STRANGEFOLK. Having disbanded his interim group, the Jeevas, and reunited with most of the band's original members, singer/guitarist Crispin Mills (son of actress Hayley Mills) presents an outing filled with nods to 1960s psychedelia (see the slinky "Second Sight"), while toning down his previous Indian-influenced aesthetic.
