SPACE ODYSSEY is an ambitious Sci-Fi solo undertaking of the MAJESTIC and TIME REQUIEM credited keyboard player Richard Andersson, born in Ystad, Sweden, March 28th 1972. Handling lead vocals would be Nils Patrik Johansson of ASTRAL DOORS, guitarist Magnus Nilsson with the TALISMAN and YNGWIE MALMSTEEN credited Marcel Jacob on bass and THE FLOWER KINGS Zoltan Csorsz manning the drums. The debut album 'Embrace The Galaxy' would be produced by Jonas Reingold of THE FLOWER KINGS.

In late 2004 a second SPACE ODYSSEY album would be announced bearing the title 'The Astral Episode', the rhythm section for these recordings comprising bassist Magnus Nilsson and drummer Andreas Brobjer. Andersson's 2006 TIME REQUIEM album 'Optical Illusion' also included contributions from Magnus Nilsson. Andersson also contributed a guest session to ANGTORIA's debut album 'God Has A Plan For Us All'.

SPACE ODYSSEY's third opus, 'Tears Of The Sun', arrived in December 2006. David Fremberg of ANDROMEDA supplied vocals with Magnus Nilsson handling guitar and bass plus Jorg Andrews on drums.
