Beyond Twilight is the new Scandinavian name in music - a name you‘ll never forget once you‘ve been enchanted by its magical, cinematic and atmospheric epic-rock. The story of this band take its place in the early nineties, when 18 year old keyboardist Finn Zierler wrote and released some of the most adventurous melodic metal albums in Scandinavian hard-rock history under the banner of Twilight. Signing to Warner/Chappell Publishing broke the waves for the band, and Twilight surpassed all expectations with the 25.000+ selling „Eye For An Eye“ album, as well as the later re-releases of both „Eye For An Eye“ and „The Edge“ through Lucretia Records. That‘s all history now, as Finn from 1999 and forward put all his energy on the amazing band Beyond Twilight, which has taken his musical visions into a new era and a new dimension. The debut album, 2001‘s „The Devil‘s Hall Of Fame“ was composed by Finn during a road-trip to North Africa. Totally isolated from the surrounding World, and without any musical instruments to his aid, Finn sat down in the burning sand of the Sahara desert and inside the cold caves of the Atlas Mountains and wrote the entire disc. Back home in Scandinavia Finn gathered the incredible band, Beyond Twilight, which involved vocal god Jorn Lande (well known from Masterplan, Malmsteen, Ark and more), as well as the young and extremely talented guitarist and bass player Anders Kragh and Anders Lindgren plus Finn‘s band mate from the Twilight days, Tomas Freden on drums. With „The Devil‘s Hall Of Fame“, Beyond Twilight, created something unique within today‘s rock/metal scene ... a cinematic experience in audio format! Within a very short time the album made headlines due to its big orchestrations, wonderful musicianship and the beautiful and original melodies ... a conglomeration of metal and rock like it had never been done before! The reviews were fantastic and in the first couple of months after the release, the band did more than 100 interviews worldwide. After a lot of promotion and sales going very well, it was decided to take the band onto the next level by getting ready to write the next album. During 2003 mastermind Finn Zierler made quite concrete ideas as to under which circumstances he was gonna „perform“ the song writing process for the new album, which he put into action in Spring 2004: in total solitude locked in an attic, submerged under water in a cold lake and living on the dark streets of London-town while writing the material. Undoubtedly this strange 3-way experience created some extremely weird, yet typical Beyond Twilight, songs. In summer 2004 the production began taking place, and the first new addition to the line-up was rhythm guitarist Jacob Hansen (known as singer/guitarist of Invocator, as well as being one of Denmark‘s top-producers). In the fall of 2004 the final piece of the puzzle was found, when American vocalist Kelly Sundown Carpenter joined the band. The recording of the new album, called „Section X“, was finalized in November 2004, and the mix of it took place in Jailhouse Studios in December. The excellent cover artwork was done by Mattias Norйn (Evergrey, Ayreon, Jag Panzer .) and as expected the 2nd album also acclaimed overwhelming press results and achieved excellent results. The new and third album “For the Love of Art and the Making” simply tops it all: Finn Zierler this time delivers a real rock opera, one ongoing compistions in 43 parts which can be combined like a puzzle by the listener by setting the CD player on shuffle. This way new dimensions of the work will open up for the listener. “For the Love of Art and the Making” is really an unique, epic masterpiece never before done in the modern metal scene and once again Finn Zierler managed to surpise everyone!
