How many times the last eight years have you read “big mouth” words coming from black metal bands? Most of them claim leadership of the scene, total supreme evilness and tones of other lame statements. For NECROMANTIA there’s no need of flattering description or super evil imagery. Since their beginning in 1989, their main focus was their music, which is based on the use of 8 string bass (instead of rhythm guitars) and their fascination and devotion to the occult. Devilish occultism and vampiric mysticism is the core of the moods and feelings created by NECROMANTIA’s music. Their latest album “IV: Malice” is a fist in the face of contemporary black metal. It is violent, aggressive and twisted the way that NECROMANTIA know how to do it! It is a proof that black metal is not pseudo-romantic gothic tunes but violence, brutality, sinister melodies, majestic atmosphere and most of all powerful metal feeling and creativity.

In 2001 the band decided to make an offering to their dedicated fans and celebrate their 12 years of existence: a double cd including a best of compilation, 4 covers and 1 new song! So this release came out properly entitled: “Covering Evil: 12 years doing the Devil’s work”. The bands covered are: IRON MAIDEN, MANOWAR, OMEN, RUNNING WILD! The double cd is sold in the price of one so all the worshipers can enjoy the sinister tunes! In Spring 2002 “IV: Malice” was released on vinyl by LEDO TADAS PRODUCTIONS, with different layout and the OMEN cover as a bonus track! Currently the band is working on new material for their forthcoming album out in 2006.

BLACK LOTUS RECORDS licensed from OSMOSE PRODUCTIONS the first 3 albums of NECROMANTIA (-CROSSING THE FIERY PATH-1993 - SCARLET EVIL, WITCHING BLACK-1995-ANCIENT PRIDE-1997) and together with the album IV: MALICE-2000 we are releasing them in deluxe digi-pack edition, digitally re-mastered and including as bonus tracks the cover versions which appeared in “Covering Evil: 12 years doing the Devil’s work” album. EVERY ALBUM IS STRICTLY LIMITED IN 1000 COPIES!!
