Released in 2001 under the Earache label. This was the first album where Mortiis took the role as lead vocalist, which had previously been filled by Sarah Jezebel Deva.
Mortiis' latest opus is being universally hailed - album of the month in Sonic Seducer (germany) and essential pick of the month in Kerrang! mag. This breakthrough album heralds a new era in the Mortiis sound - Mortiis is now lead singer, and guitars are once again to the fore - but the album has a very current darkwave dancefloor sensibility too, not to mention great melodies and even Enigma-like atmospheric passages. Fans of the fantastical and the bizzare Mortiis of old should fear not, for this new album does'nt stray too far from his traditional themes - just more powerfully presented than before.
Mortiis looks back on this album, and is amazed at how 'gothic' it sounds - even though it wasn't intended. In the booklet, Mortiis is seen unmasked under the pseudonym of 'John Prozac'.
On the back of the album, there is a circle with symbols inside. This is a form of the 'Secret Seal of Solomon'.
