Volturna is the natural evolution of the sound by the well know italian band Mandragora Scream. This evolution started after the very first releases and reached the top of songwriting, at least up top now, with „Madhouse“. This fact is confirmed by the performance of the sales and moreover by the appreciation shown by critics and public, which brought the single „Dark Lantern“ to be one of the most clicked songs in the web.

With „Volturna“, Mandragora Scream once more show a different aspect as a very strong industrial component accompanies the new melodies created by Terry Horn, without loosing the basic characteristic of the band that is to say the vampire//gothic influence, thanks to some classical inserts played by unusual instruments as harpsichord and to the superb vocal performance by Morgan Lacroix who strongly marks as usual the Mandragora Scream style.

The album is made by 16 songs, 13 new releases, 2 covers and one intro. The two covers are „Bang bang“ written by Sonny Bono for his wife Cher and „ Fade to Grey“, a real masterpiece from the 80s by Visage. „Heartbound Eve“ sees the cooperation of the Spanish maestro Julio Alves Olivares Merino. The firstt single from „Volturna“ is „Breaking Down“ which is also accompained by a videoclip which will be released at the same time of the album on the web and on the European Rock Tvs. The European tour together with Christian Death and 69 Eyes will give the possibility to listen to „Volturna“ live in about 30 dates.

„Volturna“ is an album in which great melodies and fantastic lyrics are present. This will certainly be a basic album in the global Gothic Metal scene, a small jem ready to explode in your stereos or, as Morgan Lacroix would probably say, ready to explode in your nightmares..
