Recently re-united with front-man Peter Nicholls and with new bassist John Jowitt on board, 1993 saw the debut of what many consider to be IQ’s ’classic’ line-up and one which was to go on to make a string of first-rate albums. So the evening of June 12th was a very special one in the history of IQ as it marked not only the launch of the highly acclaimed “Ever’“ album but the very beginning of the band’s golden era. Fortunately the cameras were on hand to capture the event for posterity and having originally been released as a luxury CD/VHS boxed set (now deleted), the new DVD version features a substantially re-mixed soundtrack which further enhances a great performance by the band. All in all it’s a stunning addition to the growing range of IQ’s concert DVDs which chronicle the band’s 26-year career.
