From their very first demos - "Heavy Metal Vanguard" and "Alcoholic Metal“ - to the latest album "The Beauty And The Beer“, TANKARD have always remained true to themselves and to their fans.

"Best Case Scenario : 25 Years In Beers" is no different. Yes, it is a brand new and fresh record but there's an air of familiarity from the guys too. They chose the best songs and fan favourites from their early stages (1986 till 1995) of their illustrious career and recorded them again with today's improved studio technique and improved equipment. The result; a typical TANKARD album with all their classic strut and swagger, shining brighter than ever with a new, more powerful, brain-crushing sound!

The regular CD includes 15 classic TANKARD tunes, so, get the rounds in, drink some beer and bang your head!! The special limited edition of "Best Case Scenario : 25 Years In Beers" includes a bonus CD with 18 cover versions of TANKARD classics as well-known bands such as PARADOX, SACRED STEEL, PARAGON, and MANTICORA salute the "Kings Of Beer“.

Started in 1982 in the boiler room of the Matthaeus Church, Frankfurt/ Main, the band first stood on a stage in 1983. In 1984 they released the first demo and 2 years later the cult record "Zombie Attack" (Noise).

Following on from that, the self-proclaimed "most ugly band in Germany“ start a musical crusade worldwide to implement the German Purity Law of 1516 more than a doesn’t records that continues to this day.

James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich are said to have commented (about the band) after a common bar-hopping mission through Mainhattan and a particular "At War With The Breakdancers“ gig Poster doing the rounds of America at the time....."Hey, you guys sound like a mix of Tank and Discharge.“ Strike One!

And, The German magazine "Stern“ (in an article about the "subculture of Heavy Metal“) wrote, "their music sounds like a train laden with Beer Tankards.... derailed!!“.
