These youngsters (all members are in the early ’20s) originally formed in the Autumn of 1998 but after some demo activity they first appeared on the worldwide scene with a self-titled MCD release in 2002 as well as with their debut album “Scars & Wounds” (both on Dynamic Arts Records from Finland), receiving unanimously positive reactions from fans and media who quickly pointed MACHINE MEN out as one of the most promising worldwide newcomers of their style. The press noticed that these talented musicians didn’t follow their “typical” fellow countrymen’s approach to re-create the sounds of bands like Helloween or Stratovarius but instead decided to stick to the foundations of melodic metal and consequently managed to sound distinctive and fresh for today’s movement. Following intense song-writing sessions and gigs in Finland which saw the band grow to an outstandingly impressing live-act, MACHINE MEN signed a new worldwide deal with Century Media Records in early 2005 and directly started working on the recordings for their sophomore album “Elegies” in Helsinki with Thunderstone’s Nino Laurenne at Sonic Pump Studios (Omnium Gatherum, Thunderstone, etc.) and then went to master the material at the established Finnvox Studios (Children Of Bodom, Edguy, Moonspell, etc.) to achieve perfect sonic results. “Elegies” comes with classy artwork by Norwegian artist Christian Ruud (Tristania, Madder Mortem, etc.) and it includes 9 catchy and yet profoundly melodic new songs as well as a cover version of Bruce Dickinson’s “Freak” closing off the release. MACHINE MEN are set to appear at prestigious summer festivals in both Finland (Sauna Open Air, Ilosaarirock) and Germany (Earthshaker, Wacken) to promote their new album and will be touring later in 2005 all over Europe. Prepare yourself for the melodic metal sensation of the year … TRACKLIST: 01 Against The Freaks 02 The Gift 03 The Beginning Of The End 04 Silver Dreams 05 Man In Chains 06 Betrayed By Angels 07 Victim 08 Scars & Wounds LINE-UP: Antony - Vocals Turbo J-V - Guitar Johnny - Guitar Iron Fist - Bass T-Pain - Drums
