Magnum emerged from the NWOBHM (New Wave of British Heavy Metal) movement and debuted in 1978 with their album Kingdom of Madness. Prior to the release, Magnum had extensively toured the UK with the likes of Judas Priest and had built up a solid fanbase. They were praised for their strong rock sound and imaginative lyrics. Their music has a lot in common with bands like Yes, Jethro Tull and Genesis. As it was their debut they directly showed their skills in the diversity of songs.
Kingdom of Madness is available as a first pressing of 1000 individually numbered copies on silver coloured vinyl. The package includes an insert.
