Recently BMG/Sanctuary has re-released on vinyl all 16 Uriah Heep albums originally released in the 1970's and 1980's on Bronze Records - from Very 'Eavy Very 'Umble (1970) to Head First (1983). These are single lp editions (excluding Uriah Heep Live that was a double vinyl also originally) with original album track listings pressed on 180 gram black vinyl. They are otherwise faithful to original vinyl releases with gatefold sleeves etc. but with no song lyrics printed in inner sleeves.
This is the first time in over twenty years that Uriah Heep back catalogue is released on vinyl in this scale. After the releases in late 1980's - early 1990's by Sanctuary Records label Castle Music there have only been mainly just a few vinyl re-releases of individual albums. These arealso be the first Heep releases by BMG who acquired the rights to the whole Sanctuary back catalogue in 2013 from Universal Music who had had the rights since 2007.
· ‘Conquest’ is the 13th album by British rock band Uriah Heep. It was released in 1980. 1979-80 was a period of change for Heep, with John Sloman taking over lead vocal duties, Lee Kerslake bowing out from behind the drumstool and main songwriter Ken Hensley ultimately leaving the band.
· 180g heavyweight vinyl.
