After more than two decades as one of the spearheads of the extreme metal scene and Canada’s leading export concerning all things blasting and brutal, Montreal-based Masters KATAKLYSM are far from slowing down.  With their overwhelmingly positive reputation of being truly fan-friendly, keen, relentless, blastbeat-ish and so forth, they are entitled as the Northern Kings of Hyperblast, deservedly. To top it all, fall of 2013 will see the release of KATAKLYSM’s twelfths studio album called »Waiting For The End To Come«, which will be released via Nuclear Blast on October 25th.  In order to receive the best possible result with »Waiting For The End To Come«, KATAKLYSM have enlisted renowned producer/engineer Zeuss (HATEBREED, SUFFOCATION, CHIMAIRA, ALL THAT REMAINS), to mix and master their forthcoming album.

The Montreal, Quebec, Canada-based band have recruited ex-NEURAXIS drummer Oli Beaudoin to sit behind the kit during the recording sessions for their new album, »Waiting For The End To Come«. Beaudoin will also play all of KATAKLYSM's currenty announced shows starting on June 30 in Costa Rica. "Oli played with KATAKLYSM before on the 70000 Tons Of Metal cruise last year and he did a phenomenal show," commented KATAKLYSM guitarist Jean-Franзois Dagenais.

As previously reported, KATAKLYSM guitarist and longtime producer Jean-Franзois Dagenais (MALEVOLENT CREATION, MISERY INDEX, DESPISED ICON, EX DEO) will once again helm the new record.

In support of the highly anticipated new piece of work, KATAKLYSM have scheduled a tour through Australia in December. Furthermore the band recently revealed an alternate artwork for »Waiting For The End To Come«.

The artwork by Eliran Kantor (TESTAMENT, HATEBREED) will be featured on the deluxe digipak and LP versions of their new album, the initial version created by Peter Sallai (SABATON) will be featured on the standard jewel case and limited edition cassette tape versions.

"This other version of the new art made by Eliran Kantor represents a more iconic and epic approach,” commented vocalist Maurizio Iacono. “A man representing all of humanity, shaking the foundation of existence and ultimately beginning the process of destruction. The main foundation is depicted here as the famous KATAKLYSM ‘tribal sun’ logo. It does not represent the end of KATAKLYSM by any means; more the beginning of a new era after the end of a certain existence."
