Greek dark/gothic/atmospheric metal ensemble Elysion continue to reveal the emotional core of their forthcoming studio album Identity, due for release on 16 October via Massacre Records. After the strong reception of the first single “Guardian Angel”, the band now present “Phoenix”, a track that stands among the album’s most powerful and cathartic moments.

Driven by crushing guitar riffs, sweeping cinematic textures and Christianna’s unmistakable vocal presence, “Phoenix” channels the symbolism of the mythical bird rising from its own ashes. The song celebrates resilience, renewal and the inner strength required to overcome life’s darkest chapters - a theme that resonates deeply throughout Identity.

Vocalist Christianna Chatzimichali elaborates: “‘Phoenix’ is one of the strongest statements on Identity. The phoenix has always symbolized rebirth, inner strength and the courage to rise again after every fall. That’s exactly what this song is about: refusing to stay down and finding the power within yourself to begin again. And here’s a little secret about Elysion songs - if you’re searching for the true meaning behind one of our tracks, always listen carefully to the bridge. That’s usually where we hide the key that unlocks every emotion.”

With Identity, Elysion continue to refine their atmospheric signature while embracing themes of transformation, strength and emotional truth.
