BORKNAGAR - new album "Epic" out June 21st! - 31 May 2004
The mighty avantgarde-metal kings BORKNAGAR experienced difficult months after the release of their record "Empiricism" in 2001. Times changed, the band is very happy as a four piece line-up nowadays and gathered all possible powers to promote their new impressing record entitled "Epic". The new output presents BORKNAGAR as its best: Bombastic arrangements, raving black metal outbursts, typical Vintersorg vocals combined with a phenomenally dense atmosphere which will leave no fan of the Norwegians disappointed. The band consequently follows their chosen musical path of their previous releases and simply delivers a firework of epic metal art. Here are some words from bandleader Oystein G. Brun to the fans:
"... So after almost a year in studio the album was finally finished. We had to cross a lot of rivers this time - members leaving, fucked up amps, illness etc. but in the end of the day we all think it was worth the blood and sweat. The album fulfilled our visions for this album musically, lyrically
and production-wise! This is the most diverse, progressive and musically expanded album we have done to date ... We are pretty sure that our fans will like this album - this album is primarily for you guys, whom patiently have been waiting three years for the album. Thanx for keeping up with us! The journey continues..."
A limited edition version of "Epic" will be available on June 21st 2004 including a classy slipcase packaging as well as a "making of" studio-video-enhancement. The album will be released on LP format as well!
