"Lookin' For Trouble", THE DEAD DAISIES' first full-length blues album, is both a tribute to the genre's pioneers and a bold new chapter for the band. The album reimagines classic blues songs with the band's signature firepower, and was born in March 2024 during sessions for THE DEAD DAISIES' rock album "Light 'Em Up". After recording at Sienna Studios in Nashville, the band moved to Muscle Shoals, Alabama, to complete the album at the iconic FAME Studios. Stepping into the same space where legends like Aretha Franklin, Wilson Pickett and Etta James recorded their classic hits, the band — John Corabi (MÖTLEY CRÜE, THE SCREAM),David Lowy (RED PHOENIX, MINK),Doug Aldrich (WHITESNAKE, DIO),Michael Devin (WHITESNAKE, LYNCH MOB)... |

High drama, hard-hitting heaviness, and gentle, spinetingling beauty. Visions of Atlantis have proven that ‘pirate metal’ is much more than a silly gimmick.” – Metal Hammer, 2024 Visions of Atlantis deliver tales of high-seas adventure through cinematic symphonic metal anthems, swiftly rising as high as a Jolly Rancher flag since the band’s humble beginnings in August 2000. Formed in idyllic Bruck an der Mur, Austria, the band boasts a French frontwoman (currently residing in Italy) and embodies an international appeal as vast as the oceans traversed by the pirates of old. Since the band’s inception, Visions Of Atlantis has boasted dual vocal power from a male and female vocalist, co-captained today with Clémentine Delauney... |

A person spends all day building a machine, only for it to torture them all through the night. As if that wasn’t twisted enough, they like it. In fact, they like being tortured so much that, come morning, they wake up rejuvenated, eager to tweak the machine until it runs perfectly in their mind. This is the nocturnal vision that inspired Cryptopsy’s ninth full-length nightmare. “Beware the spotlight”, warns vocalist Matt McGachy before “Dead Eyes Replete” flashes before your eyes with a skull crushing breakdown. An Insatiable Violence mirrors our toxic relationship with social media, but while eerily prescient, the album is influenced by the many mutations that have defined the band’s Hall of Fame discography. Inspired by a m... |

Prog death-metal outfit FALLUJAH expand horizons and solidify their position as one of America’s most exciting acts on their new album, Xenotaph, through Nuclear Blast. The quintet’s confidence in the lineup that made their previous album, Empyrean (2022), such a resounding success—earning high marks from Metal Injection, New Noise, and Guitar World—has been reconfigured slightly, with guitarist Sam Mooradian (INHALE EXISTENCE, SAM MOORADIAN) and drummer Kevin Alexander (DISEMBODIED TYRANT, BROUGHT BY PAIN) bringing their jaw-dropping musical proficiency to the fold, as vocalist Kyle Schaefer, guitarist Scott Carstairs, and bassist Evan Brewer enter a new chapter with FALLUJAH. Moored by singles ‘Kaleidoscopic Waves,’ ‘Labyrinth of Stone,’ an... |

The band known as A-Z began when Zonder started working on material in early 2020 with a clear vision for the band he wanted to put together: “I was thinking beer commercials, car commercials and Cobra Kai. I wanted a very accessible band that would appeal to the masses,” he says. The band’s name - standing for Alder thru Zonder - was an easy choice that would never pigeonhole the lineup’s sound. “What I liked is that it did not limit what someone would think of the band,” says Zonder. “If we named the band Scary Serpent it would give a certain direction and didn’t want people to prejudge us.” The band members are legendarily prolific, which allows for an amazing dynamic where, as Zonder explains, “when you find the rig... |

Swedish grandeurs of melancholic heaviness, KATATONIA, return with Nightmares as Extensions of the Waking State, set for release on June 6, 2025 via Napalm Records. Once again, the Stockholm-based unit masterfully navigates the tightrope act between nocturnal darkness and Scandinavian despair while subtly weaving a sense of hope into the listener’s heart. Since emerging in the early nineties, KATATONIA has projected a beacon of light for the forgotten and the lonely ones, offering solace to those willing to lose themselves in the band’s immersive soundscapes. From their roots in death-doom metal to the post-metal entity they embody today, their art remains as haunting as ever. Nightmares as Extensions of the Waking State ma... |

When William J. Tsamis, founder of legendary epic metal masters Warlord, sadly passed away on the 13th of May 2021 at the age of only 60, it looked as if the premature death of one of the most creative forces in American metal had come. However, Warlord bounced back in 2024, with a new line-up and a brand new highly acclaimed studio album entitled "Free Spirit Soar" (on High Roller Records). This was quickly followed by "From The Ashes To The Archives - The Hot Pursuit Continues", a limited edition release to mark the occasion of the band's festival appearances in 2024 with returning Warlord vocalist Giles Lavery. (who also sings for Jack Starr and Alcatrazz). With a new studio album in the bag, it was time for the “reborn” Warlord to hit the road. In the summe... |

"Tetradōm" is the debut album of the instrumental progressive metal-fusion quartet Quadvium, half in California - half in the Netherlands, founded in late 2019 by American bass player Steve Di Giorgio (Testament, Death) and Dutch bass player Jeroen Paul Thesseling (Obscura, Pestilence). Steve Di Giorgio and Jeroen Paul Thesseling are both innovators in bringing a different style of fretless bass playing to metal. Launching a band with two predominantly multi-string fretless bass players is no common occurrence, and the bass-duo felt they needed to take very special and deliberate time to get the right alignment with who is participating and what will be the end result - meaning the right sound and composition to represent this rare vision. Over time, together wit... |

Steel City Kings MALEVOLENCE have announced the details of their hugely anticipated new album, Where Only The Truth Is Spoken, set to be released on the 20th June via MLVLTD in partnership with Nuclear Blast Records. Featuring acting legend Alan Ford, who most famously appeared as Brick Top in Guy Ritchie's classic British gangster film Snatch, the band's new video is their biggest visual production to date. It sees the five-piece take on an elaborate art heist, before engaging in a white knuckle car chase with the Police. There may even be some easter eggs to be found throughout that hint at what MALEVOLENCE have... |

Sixteen years and five albums into the Pennsylvania band’s career, RIVERS OF NIHIL is upping the ante with Rivers Of Nihil. Traditionally, a self-titled record can signal a return to basics and/or a fresh beginning, and in ten powerful songs, it’s clear that both those factors are in play. Founding bassist Adam Biggs became the band’s new lead vocalist/bassist in 2023; the same year marked the appearance of additional guitarist Andy Thomas (ex-Black Crown Initiate), whose vocals also play prominently on Rivers Of Nihil. Producers Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland at Atrium Audio captured the new dynamics across more than fifty minutes of music. CD/ LP: 1. The Sub-Orbital Blues 2. Dustman 3. Criminals 4. Despair Church 5. ... |

With a dozen ferocious and lauded albums since 1996’s Daemon Qui Fecit Terra, HATE’s lucky thirteenth album, Bellum Regiis, sees the unrelenting Polish quartet forging a bolder and more aggressive style than ever. Bellum Regiis’ nine songs see vocalist/guitarist ATF Sinner, guitarist Domin, drummer Nar-Sil, and bassist Tiermes honing a modern sound rife with eerie atmosphere and depth. Produced by David Castillo (Candlemass, Carcass, Dark Tranquillity, Katatonia) at Stockholm's Grondahl Studio, Bellum Regiis is lyrically a more “humanity focused and personal” album than 2021’s Rugia while its songs are timely aural and visual exploration of, according to the vocalist, “a struggle for power and everything that comes with it.”

The eight sonically and lyrically immersive songs on Alunea have set yet another high-water mark for the dynamic lineup. Known as the progenitors of the “deathgaze” genre, that descriptor is evolving as KARDASHEV continually explores and pushes boundaries. “Words you could use to describe our music are ‘atmospheric, progressive, emotional, dynamic, and contrast,” explains drummer Sean Lang. “Our music attempts to sonically portray the emotions of anger and sorrow which creates a palpable but natural dynamic contrast.” Music has always been a universal language, but KARDASHEV creates their own lyrical language, adding depth and meaning. Alunea is a direct sequel to the events of The Almanac and picks up right where the song "Beyond Sun An... |
