Born in Geneva’s alternative underground in 1996, IMPURE WILHELMINA has forged a singular path between metal and progressive dark rock, marked by density, melody, and emotional restraint. After three decades of evolution and renewal, the quartet now enters a new chapter with Le sanglot, their most radical, yet organic, transformation to date. Entirely written and sung in French, Le sanglot sharpens the band’s vision into something more direct, more cutting, and more exposed. The album is conceived as a sob in sound, the musical equivalent of human tears. Its lyrics observe a fractured world with surgical coldness, portraying ugliness, mediocrity, and quiet violence, yet never abandoning the possibility of grace. From the cathartic surge of “Électri... |

Power metal legends Masterplan are thrilled to announce their return with a new studio album, “Metalmorphosis”, set for release on June 26, 2026, via Frontiers Music Srl. Grapow expressed his enthusiasm for the record – the first new songs since “Novum Initium”, released in 2013: “Metalmorphosis” really captures what this album means to us: a transformation, but still true to the spirit of Masterplan. We’ve grown over the years, both as musicians and as people, and you can hear that in the new songs. Some ideas go back many years, and now they’ve finally come to life. It’s powerful, melodic, and emotional - classic Masterplan, but with a new energy”. Masterplan stand among the most enduring an... |

THE NEW STUDIO ALBUM OF PRIMITIVE METAL FROM THE NORSE CAVEMEN. In a year which marks the 40th anniversary since the initial formation - under the moniker of Black Death - of what would subsequently grow into influential genre legends, 2026 marks the return of the imperishable Norwegian duo of Fenriz & Nocturno Culto for their new opus of high calibre old metal, under the banner of ‘Pre-Historic Metal’. As Fenriz himself proclaims of the title’s symbolic origin, “Prehistoric is a loose term. I just figure it’s our VIBE, our take on things & it’s more a statement that we use old style to create something new”. ‘Pre-Historic Metal’ contains eight tracks of primal epics & gargantuan riffs with organic... |

Crippled Black Phoenix was formed in 2004 by Justin Greaves as an ever-evolving musical project driven by emotional inquiry and moral tension. Across two decades, the project has built a singular catalogue rooted in human fragility, endurance, and resistance to complacency. Sceaduhelm represents the project’s most inward-looking and austere statements to date. Written and recorded between 2023 and 2025, the album turns away from grand historical narratives to examine emotional erosion, fatigue, and quiet collapse. Rather than a traditional concept record, it unfolds as a unified psychological space, where repetition, restraint, and unease carry as much weight as melody. The songwriting favours slow builds and unresolved tension, resisting catharsis in favou... |

Yes first began sketching out ideas for what would become ‘Aurora’, the process was loose and exploratory. There was no preconceived concept at the start, just a collection of musical fragments that gradually began to find one another and take form. Among these early sketches was a piece titled “Aurora,” and it quickly became clear that the name carried certain gravity. It suggested light, emergence, and a sense of vastness, qualities that resonated deeply with the band. As Steve Howe explains: “Making this record was joyful, a chance to play, explore and give everything to the music. It's always been about collaboration, somebody can write a song, but until everybody puts their contribution in it isn't really a Yes song. We’re not trying to ec... |
