Tall Poppy Syndrome is the debut release from Leprous, a young Norwegian quintet hell-bent on creating innovative and experimental music. Their explorations of the dark side of metal draws inspiration from icons Emperor and Opeth, classical composition as well as 70s progressive rock. Leprous is currently working as the touring band of solo artist Ihsahn, also known as the frontman of the legendary black metal band Emperor. March 2009 will find the members of Leprous on tour with Ihsahn in support of Swedish progressive death metal icons Opeth. This dynamic listening experience comes courtesy of Jonas Kjellgren of Scar Symmetry who recorded and mixed the album.
