Following the success of their 2005 DVD release "Boom Boom - Live In Toronto" (CRDVD75), Cherry Red Records are delighted to announce their second DVD featuring one of the true rock guitar heroes of all time, Pat Travers.
With over thirty years as a rock n roll icon, Toronto's first son of fret board wizardry has simply refused to lie down. A mega star in his own right, Pat Travers has wowed guitar freaks the world over from teenage dreamer to rock luminary. Always looking for a new lick, always pushing the envelope, his desire to become a superstar has been surpassed with Travers now ranked amongst the canon of true guitar legends. Despite a plethora of live albums there has been very little concert footage of Travers available. Shot on11th April 1976 in Köln, Germany this is a classic document of the early stages of Travers rise to international fame.
Playing as a three piece he and his band set the standard for generations of guitar hero wannabes. A dazzling yet strangely understated performance, this was a tantalising taster for what was to follow. Hooked on Music is an impressive insight into a man who has become a bona fide rock guitar virtuoso. Travers continues to record and tour to a large and devoted fanbase around the world. Amongst the tracks featured is Billboard hit single "Boom Boom".
