Let’s turn the clock back a decade: Gothic Metal booms and generates a totally new scene. Tiamat surprise us with "Wildhoney", Moonspell launch their career with "Wolfheart", My Dying Bride make it to mainstream with "Turn loose the swans" and Paradise Lost release their icon "Icon". Heavenwood release their first album "Diva" just a tad later, but are a bit lost in the shadow of their compatriots Moonspell. After years of silence, Heavenwood report back on the scene with a new album fitting perfectly into the ranks of the aforementioned ones: traditional Gothic Metal, loaded with melancholic, bittersweet melodies and dreamy vocals and lyrics. All ten songs are black-red jewels, especially the smashers "Me and you", "Bridge to neverland" and "Take my hand". Grab a glass of red wine, sprawl on a black velvet sofa, light up a candle, and appreciate this masterpiece.

The CD features guest appearances by ANNIHILATOR guitarist Jeff Waters (in the song "Bridge To Neverland"), FIREWIND guitarist Gus G. (in the track "One Step to Devotion") and singer Tijs Vanneste of the Belgian progressive metallers OCEANS OF SADNESS (in the song "Obsolete").
