WARNING were formed 1994 by Patrick Walker (cousin of SOLSTICE (UK) / ISEN TORR guitar player and THE MISKATONIC FOUNDATION founder Rich Walker) and drummer Stuart Springthorpe in Harlow, Essex.
WARNING are one of England's finest bands to have emerged in the past decade, and also, one of the most lyrically thoughtful and musically uncompromising in their chosen style of glacially slow Doom Metal.
Originally, after issuing their colossal demo's, the band were approached by UK indie label Rise Above to record an album for them, but after said label tried to get WARNING to wear flared trousers and change their music and lyrics to suit a "Stoner" crowd, the band told Rise Above to Fuck off in no uncertain terms.
After a tour in the UK with SOLSTICE, Rich Walker opted them to allie themselves to the newly created MISKATONIC label in 1997. The band waited until 1999 when they were sure that the standard of their songs were good enough, to record the much sought after debut "The Strength To Dream ".
Pat Walker in 2001 put the band into hibernation to concentrate upon his other love, acting, for several years while Stuart concentrated on teaching, before ressurecting WARNING to take the DSR festival in 2005 by force with a crushing performance.
In 2006 they finally finished their intense works on the second album, which got released under the name ‘Watching From A Distance’ only in a very limited edition, and although all reactions were completely overwhealming, the album was no longer available since the middle of 2007.
After completely ruling the bill at the 1st Power Of Doom Festival in Germany the calls for re-releases got louder and finally both albums will now be available again, after Cyclone Empire will re-release them in April 2008!!!
