Remastered re-release, incl. liner notes of Michael Amott and the demos from the year 1989 (eight bonus tracks). Along with Entombed’s "Left Hand Path" this is one of the albums that pioneered the Swedish Death Metal scene. I actually like this album more than "Left Hand Path". Don't get me wrong "Left Hand Path" is one of my all time favorite Death Metal albums, but "Dark Recollections" seems to have a thicker more crunchier guitar sound that make this album a bit more brutal. This album will crush most releases that are put out today and no one can even come close to the brutality Carnage had produced on this album.

Too bad Carnage only released one album and split up in 1991. Several former members went on to Dismember. This is quality Swedish Death Metal at it’s finest.
