SINNER in the shape of their career: the German hard rock institution impresses with their new album “Crash & Burn”: consistency, variety and most importantly the main ingredients for a great Rock`n`Roll record: delight in playing and fun!

After the return of guitarist Henny Wolter (ex-Thunderhead) the four-piece around Mat Sinner now delivers a rich, highly entertaining heavy rock album that covers a big spectrum: there are savage rocking classic SINNER tunes (“Crash & Burn”, “Break The Silence”) beside harmonious Thin Lizzy-reminiscences (“Heart Of Darkness”, “Connection”) or stomping hymns (“Like A Rock”). Also “Crash & Burn” doesnґt lack impulsive, straight forward rocking up-tempo smashers (“Fist To Face”) or cool and earthy RockґnґRoll (“Revolution”, “The Dog”), all bedded into a natural production by Sinner/Wolter, engineered by Dennis Ward and mixed by Achim Kцhler.

First reactions from international press clearly showed: “Crash & Burn” at least holds a half dozen of future-classics in store, that donґt need to hide behind hymns like “Born To Rock” and “Knife In My Heart”. Undoubtedly “Crash & Burn” is one of the Rock highlights of 2008!

Yes, SINNER already have achieved a lot throughout their long and illustrious career. 25 years in the music business have seen the band of charismatic leader Mat Sinner play successful headliner tours or support of Rock giants like Deep Purple, Mr. Big or Savatge - all around the world. Classics like “Touch Of Sin” and “CominґOut Fighting” established SINNER as one of Germanyґs most successful Rock exports, beside the Scorpions, Accept and Helloween. After a short break SINNER came back in furious fashion in the 90ґs. On albums like “Judgement Day” and especially “The Nature Of Evil” (#63 in the German album charts) they explored their dark side and showed their fans a different face of SINNER, although the bandґs sound was never really far away from their original roots. But SINNER continued this way in the new millennium with “The End Of Sanctuary” and “There Will Be Execution”, before their 2007ґs effort “Mask Of Sanity” saw the band create more catchy and melodic songs again. The ultra-melodic guitar work was back again and so it was no surprise that after the overwhelming feedback from fans and media like, SINNER released 2 video clips (“Diary Of Evil” and “Black”) and went on a headliner tour (already in the line-up of “Crash & Burn”).

Mat Sinner and Henny Wolter are also current members of the German power metal heroes Primal Fear, but this is a totally different playfield, as Mat explains…

A very nice teaser for „Crash & Burn“ is the video clip for the new song „Revolution”, that will be released very soon. The clip will also be part of the albumґs limited edition, along with 2 bonus track. One of them is a remake of a very, very old SINNER track… In October/November SINNER will play an extensive European tour to bring “Crash & Burn” where it belongs: to the stage - and right in the face of all lovers of varied and classy heavy rock!

The album was produced by Mat Sinner & Henny Wolter @ The House Of Music studios and aside of the band, there are guest appearances by Dirty Sanchez (percussion) and Dennis Ward (backing vocals & percussion).
