- NECOMER DES JAHRES 2006 /ROCK IT [!] PRODUCED BY DENNIS WARD [!]
Just 16 months after the release of the debut album `Precious Time` the second album `Over the horizon` from HUMAN ZOO, a Hard Rock formation from Balingen, Germany, is released on the 28th of September of 2007. Having in mind the slogan “never change a winning team”, Dennis Ward (Pink Cream 69) also produced the second album.
In the year 2004 drummer Tommy Strobel (Subway), singer Thomas Seeburger, guitarist Ingolf Engler and keyboarder Zarko Mestrovic got together with only one goal – ‘pure rock’. In Autumn 2005 Markus Ratheiser (Glenmore) on the bass and Boris Matakovic (Subway) on the saxophone completed the band.
The highly celebrated debut feature `Precious Time` (2006) astonished the press as well as the public in many places. HUMAN ZOO was elected as “Newcomer of the year 2006” in German magazine Rock It!.
The new album `Over the horizon` was produced at House of Music Studios and marks a further milestone in the career for HUMAN ZOO. The songwriting here combines classical rock elements with modern effects, but without leaving behind the typical HUMAN ZOO style. HUMAN ZOO are rocking more modern and eventfully and lay down their newcomer status with the album `Over the horizon`. With numerous convincing shows at different gigs with Gotthard, Y&T and Bonfire in 2007 HUMAN ZOO emphasized their position as an outstanding live act.
