Power metal is dead? Hell no! BRAINSTORM is best proof to the contrary. For years now, each of this Southern German band’s albums has easily topped its predecessor, uniting the very best of European und US power metal with an original note.
So it comes as no surprise that the number of BRAINSTORM fans is growing steadily, as evidenced by their successful first European headlining tour in 2005 and the chart entries of their last two albums “Soul Temptation” (Germany: #73) and “Liquid Monster” (Germany: #72, Hungary: Top 10). BRAINSTORM is definitely at the forefront of European power metal.
With their sophomore effort completely sold out and only very hard to find, the guys have decided to treat their ever-growing legions of fans to an extended re-issue.
The new version of “Unholy” comes as a double CD in a deluxe digipack with revised artwork. It includes the album in a revamped version, remastered by longtime BRAINSTORM producer Achim Kohler, as well as the original version. Add to this 4 bonus tracks (the 1993 “Heart Of Hate” demo and the “Promo 1996” demo) commented in additional liner notes, which should make this re-issue an interesting item even for long time fans who already own the original “Unholy” album!
