Their story of success and stardom, spanning 4 decades really took flight as the quartet were catapulted into worldwide acclaim with the release of the breakthrough album “Razamanaz”. Two Top 10 UK Singles “Broken Down Angel” and “Bad Bad Boy” followed, together with a string of TV appearances including “Top of the Pops”. Nazareth toured the world with acts such as Deep Purple, The Who, Aerosmith, Rory Gallagher and Bad Company whilst becoming mainstays on the hip UK TV show “The Old Grey Whistle Test”.

Nazareth had decided to conquer the world…they did just that…and years ahead of their fellow Scottish countrymen Big Country, Deacon Blue, Texas, Wet, Wet, Wet and Del Amitri.

Year after year has been met by surprise for the band and Nazareth have lived it… the Rock ‘n’ Roll, the ups and downs, the fame and endless touring, yet there is an undeniable feeling of freshness to their outlook and evidence of a common camaraderie between band mates that is unique and an obvious ingredient to the longevity of their music and career.

This live performance is stunning proof that Nazareth remain hot, tight and very, very loud – they perform with conviction and a passion for what they do. “Live from Classic T Stage” will no doubt please their worldwide legion of fans and not only that, pull in a whole lot more.

The inclusion of timely masterpieces and well executed hit tracks on this DVD indicate that fans will be treated to re-recorded live cuts of early classics, originally released from the “Razamanaz” and “Loud ‘n’ Proud” era of 1973, plus “Rampant” (1974), and “Hair of the Dog” (1975).

The band has never been one to shy away from the occasional cover song and this DVD highlights many of the crowd pleasers drawn from their extended back catalogue. Featured on this release is “Cocaine”, a JJ Cale track that was later made famous by Eric Clapton, “This Flight Tonight”, a Joni Mitchell penned song that became a UK hit for the band and a radio favourite in the USA, plus a first rate rendition of “My White Bicycle” – which was originally released by the psychedelic group ‘Tomorrow’ in the late 60’s.

Also featured from the “Live from Classic T Stage” session is “Love Hurts”, a version of the ballad originally released in 1960 by the Everly Brothers. Nazareth further secured their longevity with the release of this track in 1976 as it became a Top 10 smash hit in the USA and continues to remain a popular choice on the Radio play lists.

None other than Axl Rose requested for the band to perform “Love Hurts” at his wedding to Erin Everley – It is also well known that Guns ‘n’ Roses often watched NAZARETH perform at the foot of the stage with admiration and further validated their influence and love for the band by covering “Hair of the Dog” on the 1993 album release “The Spaghetti Incident?”
