Without a doubt, TIAMAT are one of Europe’s most important and successful Gothic Metal bands. Their name is mentioned in the same breath alongside bands like Type O Negative and Paradise Lost, and they are still one of the leaders of the scene.

During their history, TIAMAT has experienced a successive metamorphosis from a feral black metal act to a group who warmly embrace various influences into an epic sound-cosmos. In the beginning of the Nineties, their debut album, Sumerian Cry, received favorable critical response, but their second album, The Astral Sleep, already showed significant development in their sound. By their third release, Clouds, the band had already unveiled early signs of what was to come. Their commercial success was almost inevitable. With 1994’s Wildhoney, TIAMAT presented a true masterpiece which developed into their record label’s best-selling album of that period. The press was fanatic about their magnificent sonic trips, reminiscent of Pink Floyd with more aggression intact, and attested that the band recorded an epic classic. Since then TIAMAT has played every major festival, toured around the world and delivered four more albums with eternal hits like "Cold Seed" (from A Deeper Kind Of Slumber - 1997), "Brighter Than The Sun” (from Skeleton Skeletron - 1999), "Vote For Love" (from Judas Christ - 2002) or "Cain" from their latest album Prey.
