Previously operating under the name of LAB RAT and founded by ex-NASTY IDOLS and SAD WINGS guitarist Peter Espinoza alongside keyboard player Richard Andersson. Later recruits to bring the band into force would be former POLE POSITION singer Jonas Blum, bassist Martin Wezowski of THE DRUGS and ORIGINAL SIN and TENEBRE drummer Joel Linder.
After promoting the debut album ‘Abstract Symphony’ on tour in Europe with PRETTY MAIDS the band splintered with only Andersson remaining. Rebuilding MAJESTIC he inducted a whole new roster of players comprising FAITH TABOO vocalist Apollo Papathanasio, guitarist Magnus Nordh, bass player Dick Lovgren with AGREGATOR, DARKANE, ARCH ENEMY and ARMAGEDDON drummer Peter Wildoer. This line up cut the 2000 album ‘Trinity Overture’ and put in a headline tour of Japan. Members of MAJESTIC guest on the 2000 album 'Skeleton Scales' from REPTILIAN. Andersson would figure in the band line-up for French guitarist Stephan Forte's epic ADAGIO Progressive Power Metal concept album 'Sanctus Ignis'.
By September of 2002 it seemed as though MAJESTIC had run its course. However, Andersson built up a brand new band incorporating Papathanasio, Nordh, Lovgren and Wildoer billed as TIME REQUIEM. Andersson debuted an ambitious solo project in 2003 SPACE ODYSSEY, issuing the album 'Embrace The Galaxy'. Papathanasios was also to be found fronting SANDALINAS, a joint Spanish / Swedish collaboration centred on guitarist Jordi Sandalinas, MEDUZA for their 'Now Or Never' album and GARDENIAN.
In late 2004 bassist Martin Wezowski joined up with ex-EMBRACED vocalist Kalle Johansson's new band BURNING ENGINES. Papathanasio would guest on VITALIJ KUPRIJ's 2005 opus 'Revenge' and in November joined Greek outfit FIREWIND. The singer also provided session vocals for EVIL MASQUERADE's May 2006 album 'Third Act'. Andersson also contributed a guest session to ANGTORIA's debut album 'God Has A Plan For Us All'.
