Almost nobody in Germany's border town Aachen (a.k.a. Aix-la-Chapelle) would have taken a bet on Holy Moses' future success back in 1980: "The most horrible and loudest band in the world", as the trio was judged by local onlookers, simply could not have any qualities to write history. But actually they did have the power and ability to accomplish a lot: from deepest underground straight into the top circuit of the heavy metal world. Holy Moses are the very example for what is achievable if you do your thing with passion and enthusiasm, ignoring both the everyday obstacles and all those sharp teeth in the shark pool of the biz, let alone the bloody irony of casting dozens of drummers along the way in good old Spinal Tap's tradition. One of the guys used to run away with David Coverdale, his follow-up took off with an unpaid pile of beer crates, and some even bigger number of guys mysteriously disappeared.

History changed 1981 with Andy Classen joining the band. Andy's girlfriend Sabina and her extremely heavy voice were discovered shortly thereafter as a matter of joking around in the rehearsal room. Sabina did not want to do the job, but finally she agreed and still today she remains to be the only female singer in the world wide thrash scene with her own formula and unique recognition. Her former school teacher did not recognize her talents when he kicked her out of the music room at the age of twelve after allegedly singing weird choir notes. Nobody knows if that guy ever had the chance to listen to one of her most thrilling performances, when Sabina groaned a jolly old German Christmas standard like "Leise rieselt der Schnee" on 1986’s joke compilation "Christmas Metal Massacre" in slow motion pace.

Nothing could ever come better than that! When Ramon left the band in 1986, Sabina took over the management step by step, while Andy grew more and more both musically and technically to become a professional producer, in later years running his own studio. Since drumming talent Uli Kusch joined the band, the last major problem disappeared over night. The axis Classen/Classen/Kusch drove the bus. From then on the coach was unstoppable - and could not be slowed down by envious people who tried to tell the world that Holy Moses would never have got a record deal with major label WEA in Hamburg, if Sabina hadn't become a TV celebrity as anchorwoman of Germany's most successful heavy metal show of the eighties. No, it just happened to be the other way around: The hard working band came first. Then the rest of the success went its own way uphill.

Anno 2005 and with the new album "Strength Power Will Passion" Holy Moses have once again set new levels and have fought to reach the young fans. It is these young fans who over the years have had to spend a lot of money by bidding for the old albums from Holy Moses in EBAY - this has now come to an end: Armageddon Music are going to re-release all the old Holy Moses albums. Armageddon Music has even managed to acquire the licence for the cult album from 1989 "The New Machine Of Lichtenstein" from WEA and also for the album "Finished With The Dogs" from 1987 which is alleged to be the breakthrough album for Holy Moses in the 80's. Both will be released as jewel cases, with full booklets, lyrics, liner notes, modified artwork and never seen before photos of Holy Moses and Sabina Classen. Both CD's are also digitally re-mastered. 15 years ago both albums were both sold out and now they're back - both albums include bonus live tracks which have been recorded since the re-union in 2001. "The New Machine Of Liechtenstein" includes two live bonus tracks with SSP and Lost In the Maze which are still played in the actual setlist from Holy Moses. "Finished With The Dogs" even has four live bonus tracks with the cult hit Current of Death, the as video song known Life's Destroyer, In The Slaughterhouse and the title track Finished With The Dogs.

The re-mastering, live recordings & Mix have been carried out by the present producer Michael Hankel in Blue Castle Studio, Hamburg. Authentic sound without overdubs and any trickery leave these re-releases as a special collector's item for fans young and old.
