Four years have passed since their last full-length album. During that time, they’ve played well over 100 concerts, including appearances at Europe’s biggest festivals, culminating in a European tour as the opening act for their great idols, the band Paradise Lost, in the fall of 2025!

Now Lacrimas Profundere are back and releasing their new album “Lay Me Down O Silent Fear,” which was recorded by Kai Stahlenberg (Powerwolf, Crematory, among others) and mastered by Rami Nykänen (Crownshift, among others). Benny Richter (Caliban, Emil Bulls) makes a guest appearance.

In every note, you can hear a band that refuses to choose between gothic, heavy metal, hard, brutal, modern, or old-school because there’s simply no reason to. “Lay Me Down O Silent Fear” captures the essence of a band that no longer has anything to prove and yet still does.
