The “Time Lab” LP by Yello is being released on Polydor and documents the duo’s next step after the album “Point” (2020); the release comes as a double LP and is scheduled for October 30, 2026. The record combines contemporary electronic arrangements with melodic elements without copying established production formulas, and relies on carefully crafted song structures that unfold across both sides of the vinyl.

“Time Lab” includes previously released precursors such as the singles “Around The Sun” and “Break Out,” the latter built around a striking horn hook and powerful beats; Boris Blank highlights the blend of horns, driving rhythm, and Dieter Meier’s staccato-style vocals as a central creative element. Yello is responsible for the production, with Boris Blank credited as composer and arranger, while Dieter Meier contributes vocals and lyrics; mastering was handled by Leoš Gerteis. Tracks such as “City Heat” and “T-Motion” give an impression of the range between pulsating grooves and atmospheric passages, so that “Time Lab” comes across as both compositionally dense and sonically rich in detail.
