The Night Eternal are a German heavy metal quintet, founded in 2018, who have carved out a firm place in the international metal scene with a melancholic guitar sound rooted in the 70s and 80s. Their first two albums, “Moonlit Cross” (2021) and “Fatale” (2023), won over fans and critics alike and took them across Europe as support act for the likes of Blind Guardian, Michael Schenker Group, Angel Witch and Lucifer. Along the way came appearances at renowned festivals such as Wacken Open Air, Summer Breeze, Hellfest and Alcatraz, as well as a guest slot at the legendary Hell’s Heroes Festival in Houston, Texas.

On August 21, 2026, the band release their Metal Blade debut “Cold Velvet” – recorded between May and December 2025 at Church Of Sound Studios near Munich. The album was produced by Michael Zech (guitarist of Secrets Of The Moon, known for his work with Triptykon, Sulphur Aeon and The Ruins Of Beverast), who gave the sound a fresh, analog depth: six different amplifiers and an analog mixing console shape the sonic picture. Hypnotic rhythms, haunting guitar riffs and sweeping choruses form a cinematic heavy metal statement – dark, authentic and unmistakably The Night Eternal.
