Annihilator is the most successful Canadian heavy metal/thrash band of all time, as well as being one of the most influential pioneers of thrash metal worldwide. The band's success speaks for itself and is driven by their exceptional live performances, not to mention Jeff Waters, who is the band's guitarist, vocalist, studio bassist, songwriter, producer and mixing and mastering engineer — a true one-man band. These two reissues revisit a pivotal period in Annihilator's history, breathing new life into Criteria for a Black Widow and Carnival Diablos. Spanning from 1999 to 2001, these albums showcase Jeff Waters' evolution as a songwriter, guitarist and producer, striking a balance between thrash intensity, melody, experimentation and groove. Each studio album will be reissued with fully remastered sound and will be available on high-quality 180 g vinyl as well as in CD Digipak format. Both formats feature revamped artwork and new liner notes by Alex Milas, who interviewed Jeff Waters specifically for this reissue series.
