- MELODIC DEATH METAL! Light This City's sound is inspired by legendary melodic death metal acts such as Arch Enemy , Carcass and At the Gates, while combining the elements of older thrash metal of Metallica, Megadeth and Testament. With an average age of 18 years old, an unbelievable rhythm section, a powerful front-woman, and all the melodic brutality one could ask for, Light This City is ready to take on the world city by city !!!

The San Francisco trio of vocalist Laura Nichol, bassist Mike Dias and drummer Ben Murray founded LIGHT THIS CITY in 2002, aiming to fuse NWoSDM with the classic Bay Area Thrash sound. After issue of the September 2003 album 'The Hero Cycle', delivered by Reflections of Ruin Records, the group shed the guitar team of Tyler Gamlen and Steven Shirley and duly inducted new guitarists Brian Forbes and Nick Koenig.
LIGHT THIS CITY signed to Prosthetic Records in 2005. Second offering 'Remains Of The Gods' was recorded by producer Zack Ohren at Castle Ultimate Studios in Oakland.
