British heavy metal band Venger, founded by SAXON‘s guitarist Doug Scarratt and by James Fogarty (of Old Forest, formerly In The Woods) to release debut studio album, Times of Legend, on January 9th 2026 via Silver Lining Music.     

Written and produced by Scarratt and Fogarty, 'Times of Legend' offers a refreshing reminder that engaging entertainment can be found in history, folklore and fantasy.

In terms of their respective roles, Scarratt is a guitarist’s guitarist, while Fogarty enjoys creating melodies. Drummer Sven Rothe is involved in another of Fogarty’s projects, and vocalist Franz Bauer, who is also associated with Fogarty’s musical alliance, guests on the album.
