Hannover's RECKLESS TIDE, offering "Depth Boosting" Thrash Metal, came to national attention in 2004 by winning the 'Wacken Metal Battle' band competition, the prize including a spot at the 'Wacken Open Air' festival. The band had been forged in October 2000 by the husband and wife team of drummer Kai Swillus, previously with OPERATION COUNTERSTRIKE, and guitarist Susanne Swillus alongside second guitarist Oliver Jaath and vocalist Andre, initially titling the project INTREPID LEECH. Subsequently, the formation, evolving into RECKLESS TIDE, enlisted English singer Andrew Troth, bass player Henning Pfeiffer and, in October 2002, second vocalist second vocalist Kjell Hallgreen. Entering Hamburg's Absurd Studio RECKLESS TIDE cut the EP 'Insane Or Reality'. A two track demo, '7 Minutes Of Thrash', followed in May 2003.
The debut album, 'Repent Or Seal Your Fate' released by Armageddon Music, featuring guests Sabina Classen of HOLY MOSES and the ANNIHILATOR cast of Jeff Waters, guitarist Curran Murphy and vocalist Dave Padden, was readied for February 2005 release.
