Danish rock and rollers VOLBEAT - Michael Poulsen (vocals, guitar),Jon Larsen (drums) and Kaspar Boye Larsen (bass) - have announced their ninth album, "God Of Angels Trust", due on June 6 via longtime label Vertigo/ Universal.
With "God Of Angels Trust" the band throws all songwriting rules overboard. Volbeat, who hold a record of ten number 1 hits on the Billboard mainstream rock charts as a non-American band, have deliberately broken away from convention and broken new creative ground.
The band's enthusiasm for breaking convention is palpable in "God Of Angels Trust", a punchy, crisp album that is undeniably Volbeat – with the usual powerful mix of catchy melodies and fresh, metallic energy.
The fact that Volbeat wrote and recorded a complete album in just five weeks is impressive. But what makes "God Of Angels Trust" truly extraordinary is the depth, versatility and richness that is otherwise only known from albums that have been ten times as long in the making. Such a creative feat requires absolute concentration, an unwavering flow and the confidence to follow your own instincts.
