1994- At the ends of 1994 Morpheas and Lord Alatoth decided to create a band that would play extreme Black Metal and the band’s lyrical theme would be the glorification of the ancient Europe. Naer Mataron came to light. Together they released the demo “The Awakening Of The Ancient Greece” which received many excellent reviews. 1997- The promo-tape “The Great God Pan” is being released. With this promo-tape Naer Mataron are signed to Black Lotus Records. Kaiadas and Lethe are the new members of the horde and Lord Alatoth is being kicked out as his ideas in general, are no longer satisfying for the band. During this year Naer Mataron also participate in a “Tribute To Bathory” CD, covering the song Equimanthorn. 1998- The debut CD of Naer Mataron hits the market. It is entitled “Up From The Ashes” and contains seven powerful songs. “Up From The Ashes” receives many good reviews and Naer Mataron are starting to create a great name among the Black Metal society. Many live shows made with bands such as Rotting Christ, Order Of The Ebon Hand. 1999- While Naer Mataron are composing the songs for their upcoming release, they support live the Norwegian band Mayhem, in Athens, having Efialtis as a session vocalist. A chaotic live appearance, that every Greek Black Metal fan will remember forever. 2001- Two years of work and philosophy and the “Skotos Aenaon” CD is a reality. This release is the one that created the big and strong number of devoted fans of Naer Mataron. Naer Mataron instead of getting “soft” like other bands do in a next release, they become more aggressive, more extreme and fast. A pure hateful and cold release, containing 9 dark and melancholic but also majestic tracks. In this CD Aithir takes over the vocal part. The “Skotos Aenaon” CD receives many great reviews and after it is a sold-out release, Aphelion Productions from Scotland after negotiations with Black Lotus Records presses a limited edition to 666 hand numbered copies, which are with a different layout from the CD. These copies were vanished from the stores in a month. 2002- Naer Mataron are vinyl worshipers! That is why Black Lotus Records gave the permission for one more time to Aphelion Productions, to release the limited to 500 hand numbered copies 7’ep, “A Holocaust In Front Of God’s Eyes”. Morpheas decides to take over the vocal part along with the guitars. This release as far as it concerns the sound, is the most “weird and extreme”, as the band wants to approach with this underground release the old feeling from bands like Darkthrone and Gorgoroth. Yet, an other sold-out release. On November of this year, Naer Mataron are recording the song “Return To The Eve” for a “Tribute to Celtic Frost” CD which will be released through Black Lotus Records. 2003- Lethe is no longer a member of the band,as Morpheas and Kaiadas decide to replace him with Warhead. With this line-up Naer Mataron are playing live with Rotting Christ and Horrified in front of 1500 audience at the club Gagarin 205. Naer Mataron devastated everything in their way and left the audience wandering what happened! It was, as everyone says, their best ever performance. Two days after their live appearance, Naer Mataron are entering the Praxis Studio, in order to record their third CD entitled “River At Dash Scalding”. At the same time, Nordvargr from the Satanik Death Noize band MZ412, who is in touch with Morpheas, composes 2 songs and plays the percussions for one, that are in the “River At Dash Scalding”. When Naer Mataron finished with the recordings, we couldn’t believe what are ears were listening, when we listened to the result. 2004- The year 2004 is a busy year for Naer Mataron. In the beginning of the year, the band performs live with the Norwegian Gorgoroth and the show is like it is supposed to be…Unholy! After a while, a new member enters the horde, an old known friend...Nordvargr. The band thought that the creations of Nordvargr fit perfectly with the Naer Mataron sound so Nordvargr becomes a basic member of the band. During that time, ShadowFace Records releases a limited to 1000 copies anniversary CD entitled “Aghivasiin-Lessons On How To Defeat Death”. During the spring-summer period of the year, three new releases come to light. At first, the album “River At Dash Scalding” is being released on double LP by the Norwegian Apocalyptic Empire Records, then Black Lotus Records releases the first two albums on a double CD entitled “Awaken In Oblivion” limited to 2000 copies with a brand new layout and also the debut “Up From the Ashes” is being released on vinyl limited to 500 copies by the German Undercover Records. Naer Mataron travels to Italy to participate in the Nihil Extreme IV Festival along with bands such as Arcturus, 1349, Centinex, Red Harvest, Opera IX. After that festival Naer Mataron supports the Swedish Dissection in Thessaloniki giving a great show to the fans and afterwards travels to Sofia, Bulgaria where they headline at the WinterStorms Festival. During the winter Naer Mataron is preparing the recordings of the new album “Discipline Manifesto”. 2005- The recordings are taking place first in Athens and then in Oslo, Norway. Naer Mataron after recording with Vicotnik (Ved Buens Ende, DOdheimsgard), Carl-Michael (Ved Buens Ende, Aura Noir) and Apollyon (Aura Noir, Lamented Souls), mixing and mastering the “Discipline Manifesto” album in Oslo at the studios Skrekk & Skru and Strype Audio with Vicotnik and Tom Kvalsvoll (Nocturnal Breed), are performing live in one of the biggest Festivals in Europe, the INFERNO FESTIVAL, along with names like Morbid Angel, Candlemass, Arcturus, Dissection, Aura Noir, Lamented Souls, Gehenna, Tsjuder, Sun O))), making majestic appearance and impressing everybody who attended the show! Spring passes…summer is coming and still the sky is dark… “Discipline Manifesto” is being released… Line-up: Morpheas: Screams and Guitars Kaiadas: Bass Warhead: Drums Nordvargr: Satanic Noise Effects Discography: “Up From The Ashes” CD (1998) “Skotos Aenaon” CD (2000) “A Holocaust In Front Of God’s Eyes” (lim.
