Limited edition 500 unit pressing on silver 140g vinyl. 1979 was MOTÖRHEAD year – the year of ‘Bomber’. MOTÖRHEAD, the loudest band in the world, with the power and force of a hundred pneumatic drills they destroyed the nation over and again and no-one, repeat no-one, remained unaffected by them – everyone was torn limb from limb.

“This is it!” are the first words Lemmy shouts on Motörhead’s third album — their second of 1979 — and he’s not kidding. The song is “Dead Men Tell No Tales,” and it’s just one of many rough-hewn rock & roll anthems — alongside “Lawman,” “Stone Dead Forever” and the World War II-inspired title track — that strafe the gap between Motörhead’s Overkill and Ace of Spades. Bomber also features blooze jag “Step Down,” which sees guitarist “Fast” Eddie Clarke’s rare lead vocal turn.
