A letter from Chris and Jon…
"Hello fellow Metal Maniacs,
Ten years ago we released Doctor Butcher. This CD was recorded on pure attitude and lots of things we probably should not have been doing at the time. Or any time for that matter! The band started as a way for us to have fun. No rules, no BS, just make us happy and hope to take a few of you along the way! As time went on the Butcher faded into the X…but the music lived. In all of us. We feel it is time to make sure a new generation gets a chance to experience this magic, this madness. We added a brand new, old song! "Inspecter Highway" was written in 1993. The song was inspired by an old haunted highway in Northern New Jersey. We also added a few of the favourites from the original demo CD. The new song was just as fun as the old ones to record. We hope you enjoy it! We believe it is time for a brand new CD…Don't you agree!? For now, sit back and enjoy the new and the old. All together for the very first time. The Butcher is Back!!!"
Jon and Chris
There are not much to say about this forgotten jewel of the SAVATAGE, T.S.O. masterminds, Jon Oliva and Chris Caffery! The darker and heavier angle of SAVATAGE is evident in this album! Now it is time for "Doctor Butcher" to get the exposure it deserves in this killer re-release including amongst others a brand newly recorded song and 4 tracks from the Demo recordings! If you missed the chance to get this album 10 years ago, don't make the same mistake again…the Butcher is back!
