Two years after Night Ranger's first album since the '80s appeared, the band returned once again with 1997's NEVERLAND. But this time, it wasn't just the duo of guitarist Brad Gillis and drummer Kelly Keagy again, as had been the case on 1995's FEEDING OFF THE MOJO. To the delight of longtime fans, the entire original band reunited--guitarist Jeff Watson, bassist singer Jack Blades, and keyboardist Alan Fitzgerald were back in attendance, too.As always, Night Ranger stick to their guns and don't try to fit in with the alt-rock friendly '90s. They know their strengths lie in the hard pop/power ballad genre, and the re-instated quintet return to it once again. Highlights include the ballads "As Always I Remain" and "Forever All Over Again," as well as the rocker "New York Time" and the title track.
