Chicago, Illinois doom/noise metal band LORD MANTIS, over the years, have been making a name for themselves within the underground metal scene alongside fellow local acclaimed Chicago metal bands such as Indian, Nachtmystium, The Atlas Moth, Yakuza etc.  Their last album, “Pervertor” (which was released by Candlelight Records) would bring LORD MANTIS recognition within doom and even black metal circles considering the band now consists of a lineup of members who were/are involved in bands such as Indian, Nachtmystium, Abigail Williams, and Avichi respectively. 

With the band’s third album, entitled “Death Mask”, LORD MANTIS have made their most devastating and triumphant album to date.  A much darker, doomier, and more experimental offering, “Death Mask” will bring recognition to LORD MANTIS even more within doom/black/noise metal circles and will herald them as one of the best and most twisted underground metal bands hailing from America.
