John Payne wrote on the Facebook page: “I’d love for people to realize what a deep heritage there is in classic rock and progressive rock coming from the UK.“

Asia, a classic/progressive rock supergroup, released six albums with John Payne on vocals in the time period from 1992 through 2004. The band reformed in the original line-up in 2006, featuring John Wetton on bass/vocals, Steve Howe on guitar, Geoff Downes on keyboards and Carl Palmer on drums.

Steve Howe left the band in 2013 and was replaced by Sam Coulson. Asia released their new album Gravitas on March 25, 2014.
