Since 1981, LISA GERRARD had been tasting world success with partner Brendan Perry as DEAD CAN DANCE. In 1995, she went solo and continued reaping the rewards of her musical talent. The Australian singer/musician/songwriter is the mastermind behind soundtracks of blockbuster movies, such as "The 13th Warrior" and "Insider". LISA GERRARD sang the title track to the cinematic masterpiece "Gladiator" and wrote songs for "Mission Impossible II" und "Black Hawk Down". Bruce Willis in "Tears Of The Sun", Denzel Washington in "Man On Fire" und Keanu Reeves in "Constantine" would have been only half as memorable had they not been backed up by LISA GERRARDs music. Whenever collective goosebumps spread among the movie audience it is highly probable that LISA GERRARD is somehow involved in creating them. Right after she had completed a successful reunion tour with DEAD CAN DANCE in 2005 LISA GERRARD went straight back into the studio to record her brandnew solo album "The Silver Tree". "The Silver Tree" is the definite release that manifests LISA GERRARDs unique position as a superior female composer of symphonic and anthemic structures.
