THE OCEAN are looking forward to presenting their upcoming studio work. This most deep going and outrageous master piece to date turns out to be a progressive musical journey which is written, recorded, mixed and to be performed live as one 53 minutes long piece of music.

This record’s concept is also the album’s name: Pelagial. The listener dives in joining the band for a journey that starts at the ocean’s surface to go through each pelagial zones to end down down deep: Epipelagial, mesopelagial, bathypelagial, abyssopelagial and hadopelagial.

In relation to the disappearing light and the increasing water pressure the deeper you go this album starts off rather easy and swinging, becomes more progressive and harder to reach the hadopelagial zone finally, where it all ends, where there is complete darkness and an unthinkable pressure.

The fascinating about Pelagial is the fact this is not a withdrawn and overdone concept. It is an idea realized a comprehensible way that can be felt, heard and touched.
