„Far away from cliches like Humppa and mead abuse this record offers true metal art with a melancholic atmosphere, catchy Black Metal riffing and traditional metal influences, which could not be more diversified in this genre. “

„"... 'Omen' has become a diverse as well as atmospheric and convincing opus. Disciples of Pagan Heavy Metal art can add it to their collections without hesitation."

In the Black & Pagan Metal scene Ahnengrab have been an insider's tip for a while and their self-titled debut album can be counted as a milestone. The band established itself by playing numerous live shows and festivals, 2011's Pagan Fest among them. Now the new album “Omen” will be released February 17th 2012. The most notable difference to the first album is the bombastic sound as this album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Eric Krause. „Omen“ is an emotional roller coaster: sad, angry, desperate – a very emotional opus, which appeals not only to fans of Black & Pagan Metal. Press reactions only confirm this ! Members of the Staatsorchester Brandenburg on cellos, violas and violins added another dimension to the album.
Nobody less than Ingo Tauer was hired to design the artwork, so it will be gem to look at. The album will be available as a Digi-CD limited to 1.000 copies as well as a standard jewel case CDwith a 16-page booklet!
