Anathema's Weather Systems is the follow-up to the band's hugely successful We're Here Because We're Here.

The album was recorded in Liverpool, North Wales and Oslo, all places of significance to Anathema.

Produced and mixed by by 5 times Norwegian Grammy nominated Christer-Andre Cederberg (Animal Alpha, In the Woods...) and featuring Lee Douglas in a more prominent role, Danny Cavanagh has said of Weather Systems, "It feels like we're at a creative peak right now, and this album reflects that. Everything from the production to the writing to the performances are a step up from our previous work."

Anathema formed in Liverpool in 1990 and have embarked on a remarkable musical journey.

Initially emerging as pioneers of the Doom Metal genre, the band has always remained true to its original goal of creating forward thinking, meaningful, passionate and honest music.

Weather Systems is the sound of a band finding its voice and growing in stature, moving further along a noble artistic path.

This includes the audio CD and a DVD-V with 5.1 surround sound mix.

Please note: This is not DVD-Audio (6-channel surround, uncompressed), but DVD-Video (5.1 surround with DTS data compression). Both formats are capable of rendering stereo audio at fidelity higher than CD, but for multi-channel surround, DVD-Video requires compression, while DVD-Audio can render up to six channels of uncompressed audio at high bit- and sample-rates.
