K2 is a true progressive rock band that combines influences of Genesis, Yes, ELP and UK. With vocals reminiscent of Peter Gabriel, bass recalling Yes Chris Squire and keyboards from Ryo of Spocks Beard that bring to mind Rick Wakeman and Tony Banks, K2 is a prog lovers dream.
K2s "Black Garden" is the first release on Magna Carta from this unique and talented quintet. With seven songs centering on a central theme of Oceania and The South Pacific, thoughtful and descriptive lyrics become part of a dark and haunting musical landscape.
"Black Garden" tells the epic story of the ancient Polynesians sailing over a third of our world to settle the islands of the South Pacific 2000 years before Columbus explored the globe.
