ZED YAGO was the flagship of a brand new and today flourishing musical direction: “Dramatic Metal”, the combination of epic and mystic classical elements with dramatic metal arrangements which has been influential to bands such as Within Temptation, Evanescence or Nightwish. Zed Yago was formed around 1985 and released two highly acclaimed albums "From Over Yonder" (1987) and "Pilgrimage" (1989). The band had a great success with chart appearances mostly in their homeland of Germany, in Great Britain and in Japan. The voice of female singer Jutta Weinhold was a real trademark. The band dissolves around the end of the 1980's to be reformed again in the late 1990's with a new line up, including new singer, guitar and bass player. "The Invisible Guide" is by far the weakest album of their story. New singer Yvonne Durand is trying very hard to sound like Jutta to the point that she gets really annoying. All tracks are mid-tempo, b-class anthemic tunes, with the same pace and structure. Once you listen to the first 3 songs (which by the way are the best of the CD) you know exactly how the rest of the album would be like. Zed Yago, unfortunately, sounds like a really bad copy of their own image. Trying to copy/paste their successful old formulas didn't worked at all. I recommend you check their first two albums first and if you find them interesting then you may proceed with this one. TRACKLIST: 1. Warrior of Fantasy 04:23 2. If I Close my Eyes Forever 04:02 3.
