- The "Eye to Eye - Live In Madrid" release was filmed and recorded at the May 14, 2004 show in Plaza Mayor - Madrid, Spain. The location is a gorgeous plaza surrounded by historic buildings. The band was in fine form and the crowd’s response grew enthusiastically as the night progressed. This was an amazing performance and for many fans this is the first opportunity they to see Alan Parsons' touring band. The musician’s performances are superb throughout, and this could well be the definitive band line-up that Alan has toured with. An added treat is Alan singing lead vocals on three songs as well as all band members sharing the lead vocal duties [!]

Alan Parsons career started aged 18 when he earned his first credit on the Beatles album "Abbey Road", an album recorded in the legendary London studios of the same name. He soon become a well respected studio engineer, working for The Beatles on "Let It Be" and later for Paul McCartney, John Miles, The Hollies, Al Stewart and Pink Floyd among others. He is particularly renowned for his work on the Pink Floyd masterpiece "The Dark Side of The Moon". This classic album was recorded in 1973, and Parsons experimented with many of the most advanced recording techniques of the time. In 1975 Alan Parsons formed The Alan Parsons Project along with producer and songwriter (and occasional singer) Eric Woolfson. The Project consisted of a group of studio musicians and vocalists, often involving the members of two bands Alan produced: Pilot (Ian Bairnson, Stuart Tosh and David Paton) and (on the first album) Ambrosia. The Alan Parsons Project released 10 acclaimed studio albums but rarely performed live, even after several US and UK Top 20 hits. The Project ended at the end of the 80's. Since then Alan Parsons has released four albums under his own name using several musicians that also appeared on the Project releases. As well as receiving gold and platinum awards from several countries, Parsons has received ten Grammy Award nominations for his engineering and production work. In 2007 he was nominated for Best Surround Sound Album for his most recent release "A Valid Path". In 2003 Alan Parsons started touring regularly as The Alan Parsons Live Project. This band featured guitarist Godfrey Townsend, drummer Steve Murphy, keyboardist Manny Focarazzo, bass guitarist John Montagna, P.J. Olsson on vocals and acoustic guitar and Alan Parsons himself on acoustic guitar, keyboards and vocals.
